Today, the Somali National Association of the Deaf (SONAD) received an official visit from a delegation led by Mr. Adan Mohamed, Executive Director of the Coalition for Education for All Somalia (EFASOM). The delegation also included Richard Olong from Oxfam Denmark.
The purpose of the visit was to learn more about the various activities and services that SONAD provides to the community—especially to individuals with hearing impairments. The delegation held in-depth discussions with SONAD representatives regarding its programs, development efforts, and support for the education of the deaf.
Additionally, the visit provided an opportunity to strengthen the collaborative relationship between EFASOM and SONAD, with a shared focus on enhancing future cooperation in support of inclusive education in Somalia.
The visit concluded successfully, with both sides expressing mutual confidence and a strong commitment to advancing the education and well-being of persons with disabilities in Somalia.
