A national coordination meeting was held in Mogadishu with the aim of strengthening cooperation and networking among disability organizations and associations in Somalia.
The main goal of the meeting was to unify the efforts of government bodies and civil society organizations to enhance the impact of their collaboration in advancing the rights and welfare of people with disabilities.
The meeting also focused on developing effective strategies to support Somali persons with disabilities and to accelerate their active participation in society.
Held over three days (May 18–20, 2025), the meeting concluded successfully with important agreements on boosting cooperation and addressing challenges faced by people with disabilities.
