The National Examination for Grade 12 (Form 4) has officially concluded. This year marks a historic milestone, as it was the first time that deaf students formally participated in the national exam.
A total of 11 students—5 girls and 6 boys—sat for the exams, representing a significant breakthrough for inclusive education in Somalia.
This achievement is a proud and historic victory for the Somali National Association of the Deaf (SONAD) and all those who have contributed to the education and empowerment of students with hearing impairments.
We extend our best wishes to the students for continued success and progress in every place and at every stage of life.
Special thanks go to the dedicated teachers Hamdi, Ali, and Hirsi, who today organized a heartfelt celebration for the deaf students.
May Allah reward them abundantly!
