A significant meeting was officially held between the Somali National Association of the Deaf (SONAD) and the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) in Mogadishu. The discussion emphasized the importance of ensuring that the deaf community is fully included in national disaster preparedness and response plans. As a result of the meeting, SONAD and SODMA reached an agreement to establish mutual cooperation in working together towards inclusive disaster awareness and preparedness efforts.
